Explore Your Lease-End Options

The final months of your lease are the perfect time to evaluate your needs. At Dan Cummins Ford, we simplify your next steps by helping you navigate the three primary paths.

1. Lease or Buy a New Ford

Ready for the latest Ford technology? Trade in your current lease for a brand-new model. Our team will help you find the perfect new F-150, Explorer, or Bronco Sport and apply any available loyalty incentives to your new lease or purchase. We offer the entire line of new Ford vehicles and can assist you in leasing the one your choose.

Vehicle inspection guide

Before your vehicle's return date, visit our dealership for a complimentary, but required, vehicle inspection. This inspection takes approximately 30 minutes, and can be done by our sales department.

A certified inspector will provide an assessment copy of chargeable wear-and-use (if any), along with a Notice of Option to make repairs prior to return. If excess wear, and use, is discovered during your inspection, you have the option to repair your vehicle before returning. We can help guide you as to what would be most cost effective.

Should your vehicle's condition change prior to its return due to repairs or additional damage, another inspection will be necessary. To schedule your re-inspection, please contact us.

2. Purchase Your Current Ford

If you’ve fallen in love with your ride, you don't have to say goodbye. We can facilitate a lease buyout, helping you secure financing to own your vehicle outright. This is a great way to avoid over-mileage fees or wear-and-tear charges.

3. Return Your Ford

If you decide to return your Ford, we'll make the process as easy as possible.

  1. Before your vehicle's return date, visit our dealership for a complimentary, but required, vehicle inspection. This inspection takes approximately 30 minutes, and can be done at by us.
  2. Prior to your lease maturity date, call us for an appointment to return your vehicle.
  3. Complete a Federal Odometer/Lease Termination Statement at Dan Cummins Ford.
  4. Sign and date the Vehicle Condition Report, which will be completed by Dan Cummins Ford. This report compares the current condition of your vehicle to that of the original inspection report to ensure that nothing has changed.
  5. Call the Ford Lease Customer Network to report the return of the vehicle to an authorized Ford Dealer or call us to report the return of the vehicle to Dan Cummins Ford.
